We invite our members to join us for an exclusive event on 17 April available only to AKBC members, where we will conduct an in-depth analysis of the Republic of Korea's critical 2024 legislative election, which will take place on 10 April 2024. This election has the potential to shift the balance of power within the National Assembly, significantly affecting the administration of President Yoon Suk Yeol. It could either bolster his political mandate or introduce new hurdles to his policy agenda.
In this insightful session, our distinguished speaker, Dr. Tony Michell, Managing Director of the Korea Associates Business Consultancy, will examine the election's outcomes and their implications for Korea's domestic and foreign policies, with a special focus on the Australia-Korea relationship. We will undertake a review of Korea's political landscape and its elections, and discuss the impact on Korea's political, economic, and social policies, as well as the broader impact this election will have on regional dynamics. This event is an excellent opportunity for AKBC members to gain a deeper understanding of the dynamics of Korean politics, its significance for the Australia-Korea bilateral relationship and insights into the evolving geopolitical landscape.
